Desert Lighthouse Prospectus presents a project status report from multi-media artist, and “Keeper of the Hinkley Light”, Daniel Hawkins, documenting his architectural engineering Land Art project of erecting a full-size, functioning lighthouse in the Mojave Desert near Hinkley, CA. Published leading up to the completion of the Desert Lighthouse permanent installation, this prospectus examines the 7-year backstory of the project and its many iterations.
